For the third year in a row, Affordable Art Fair returns to Magasin 9 in Frihamnen, Stockholm. Together with over 60 swedish and international galleries the fair will be showcasing more than 5,000 art pieces. The exhibition starts tomorrow and ends on sunday, 5th of October.
The founder Will Ramsay started off by opening Will’s Art Warehouse in southwest London back in 1996. With purpose to bridge the increasing interest in contemporary art and the London gallery scene. By concentrating on relatively unknown artists not carrying a premium for reputation, the gallery was able to offer works for a reasonable amount of money, of over 150 artists.
The response Ramsay received to his Art Warehouse inspired him to take his approach to the next level, and 3 years later the Affordable Art Fair was born.
The Affordable Art Fair is a perfect place to explore, learn about and purchase paintings, sculptures, photography and prints. All showcased works will be able to be bought, priced between 500kr and 50,000kr. During the days at the fair you’ll also be able to participate in workshops and lectures – all for the purpose of widening your own knowledge in art. Radar will definitely be there getting dazzled by those young aspiring creatives.
The tickets are available from 150kr a piece. Head over to our Facebook page to get a chance of getting free tickets.
