“I mainly photograph nudes because it is a subject I have studied for a long time”. First out in Radar Magazine’s new portfolio series is Italian photographer Giangiacomo Pepe.
Born in Genoa, Italy in 1984, Giangiacomo Pepe’s interest in photography began when he was given an old analogue Nikon camera a few years back. Shooting mainly in black and white, he works on instinct, set on capturing moments of intimacy and reflection. The result is a raw and intimate study of the nude, and a candid depiction of the female forms. His photographs have been featured in a number of Italian and international magazines, among others Vice and GQ Italia. He is currently working on a project about tattoos in collaboration with an Italian tattoo artist .
– I mainly photograph nudes because it is a subject I have studied for a long time. I love the body, and capturing the intimacy of it. It is a subject I will always be drawn to photograph, Giangiacomo says.
