We commissioned some of our best bloggers and contributors to interpret the latest edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week for us. This is fashion week through the eyes of Radar blogger and fashion management graduate Daniella Johansson.
This was my first time at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Stockholm, but not my first time at a fashion week. Since I’ve been living in Barcelona for the past years, I’ve attended Barcelona Fashion Week several times. Nevertheless, fashion week in Stockholm was a new and exciting experience for me.
– I’m a huge fan of Swedish fashion, and tend to wear a lot of Swedish brands and designer. I like the discreet colours and refined shapes. My favorite show during the fashion week was definitely Back. It was held in an industrial and minimalist venue, where the models made their entrance and exits through escalators. The collection was raw, sporty, and sophisticated, with some influences from the nineties. It turned out a huge success. I also have to mention that I was impressed by AltewaiSaome and Erik Bjerkesjö, their collections were remarkable.
– Another special memory from fashion week was when I got the opportunity to interview the jewelry designer Maria Nilsdotter. She presented her collection at Bukowskis and I got a few minutes to chat with her. It was very exciting and instructive!
