We commissioned some of our best bloggers and contributors to interpret the latest edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week for us. This is J. Lindeberg through the eyes of STHLM Style Stories.
Swedish fashion house J. Lindeberg was founded in Stockholm in 1996, set to create garments that bridge fashion and function. Today the J.Lindeberg collections consist of tailoring and fashion, as well as clothing for golf and ski. Their SS14 collection is inspired by the smallest and most magnificent details of nature – the insects, spiders, and shimmering beetles, evident in the collection’s shiny materials, kaleidoscopic prints, and exquisite details. The collection holds both clean cuts and flowing shapes, with a palette of plum, emerald green, black, and burgundy, punctuated by metallic bronze and silver.
– The empowering looks of the small creatures magnified in a giant perspective and nature’s never ending genius to create functionality, inspired me to the SS14 collection, says Jessy Heuvelink, head designer at J. Lindeberg. I have always been fascinated by insects, and it’s with great joy we present a collection that just as insects offer true beauty and a strict functionality from the outside to the inside.
This is what caught the eyes of STHLM Style Stories at the J. Lindeberg show.
