With her joyful, yet dark collection Heathen Hearts, fashion designer Lina Michal made it to the finals in MUUSE and Vogue Talents Young Vision Award. Together with Swedish fashion icon Ingmari Lamy, Lina Michal have captured the essence of her Heathen Hearts collection in five photos.
With my collection I wanted to convey the feeling of something joyful, organic, with just a notion of something dark and raw, Lina Michal says on her Heathen Hearts collection. And perhaps at the same time broaden the image of what Swedish fashion is allowed to be.
With organic volumes and manipulated surfaces Lina Michal wanted her Heathen Hearts collection to be reminiscent of our primitive urge to decorate ourselves. Together with Swedish fashion icon Ingmari Lamy, Lina has captured the dark and dramatic essence of the collection in five beautiful photos. Ingmari Lamy has been a prominent figure within the fashion world since the late sixties, working as a model, artist, and muse. She has graced the covers of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, working with iconic photographers such as Bob Richardson, David Bailey, Sarah Moon, and Irving Penn, and walked the runway for brands like Maison Martin Margiela, John Galliano, Yohji Yamamoto, and Jean Paul Gaultier. With her long silver hair and stunning beauty, she brings a timeless elegance to Lina’s exquisitely organic designs.
