SUNDAY BOYS

1. boys
2. Boys sunday

Sunday morning and Seb wakes us up with a heavy knock on the door. I try to suppress a fever while we have some breakfast in the living room and then head out on the streets of Hackney.

This black building is just a few streets away from our house and I just know that we will live in that house some day.

update: AND NOW SOMEBODY TOLD ME IT’S FOR SALE!!!! PLEASE BUY ME THIS HOUSE.

3 London Fields

Walking up through the lovely Broadway Market I have to take my boys to see London Fields in all its glory.

4 Daniel London Fields

Punk hipster boy among the flowers.

6 fabrique

After having walked through half of east london we head down to the hidden mews of Shoreditch.

7 fabrique

And to the Swedish bakery Fabrique!

10 Fabrique

All industrial and smelling of cinnamon and cardamom.

11 daniel

We order some buns and sit down outside as this autumn never seems to want to let go of the mild weather.

9 Fabrique buns

Swedish pride.

These boys talk about love and freelancing. Seb tells us about him and his girl now being official(!) and how it feels to be a full-time freelancer. I’m jealous. Jealous as in wanting to be done with studying and actually be out in the industry, working, producing and meeting people. It’s fun to learn but I want to DO!

And that’s all this girl can take, feeling the fever climb over me as a sticky blanket. Daniel and I walk back home and order Chinese takeout while binge watching brilliant Orange Is the New Black.

Today I’m the birthday girl. 22 years old!

Favourite comment from my 18-year old uni friends: “At least you don’t look like 22!” That’s right, I look like 25, at least!

RAINY TERRACES AND DRUNKEN WEDNESDAYS

1 LOVISA TERRASSEN

A rainy Wednesday and I’m staying in bed until 3pm when this lady texts me telling me that she’s coming over, whether I like it or not.

2 lovisa terassen

She brings red velvet cake and I make instant coffee while she checks out my flat. A proper dull, grey London day, but it’s still warm enough to sit on the roof terrace without a jumper on.

4 Linn

We discuss best friends who disappears and handsome ginger men in black outfits, dirty flats with even dirtier landlords and other things that fuck up your life in London.

She’s a babe this one. As it’s getting darker we head inside to listen to some hiphop and put some make up on, like the finest girlfriends cliché. <3

5 Lovisa London Fields

Dressed we buy wine and ravioli and head further up in Hackney. London Fields is blooming like something from a dream.

10 Nuala
11 nuala

The ever so lovely Nuala is there.

9 Hevin Frida
8 Hevin Frida

Also Hevin, who just moved here, and Frida.

6 Lovisa
7 Lovisa

Eating pasta and getting tipsy on red wine with these girls is something I’ve longed for. They make my head empty in a carefree way whilst my heart is drunkenly beating fast.

8 Lovisa Nuala

And after Lovisa gets down to some tunes it is time for us to head out.

14 Lovisa Ridley Rd

Up to Dalston Junction and Ridley Road Market Bar where they sell mojitos in pint glasses for £5!

13 Lovisa Ridley rd

Lovisa.

11 Nuala Ridley Rd

Nuala.

12 Lovisa Ridley

We sit down outside, drinking too many mojitos for a Wednesday night.

16 Nuala Ridley Rd

Nuala tells us about her Mean Girls at uni and I tell them about mine. We also talk about being kicked out from home and other London happenings. Hilarious girls.

15 Linn Nuala

And suddenly it is dead late and everything feels blurry. We walk through a dark Hackney and I sneak on one of the last trains back home, hoping not to get caught. Drunken Wednesdays with girl gangs are extraordinary.

BLUE IS THE WARMEST COLOURS

Alright, this looks fantastic. Like a remake of the 90’s gift from God: Fucking Åmål. Finally more and more films and series about and with versatile girls and non hetero relationships popping up.
