I’m buried in work and it is so much fun I might turn into a workaholic who sits at home learning software rather than dance drunk in a basement. Not really, that will never happen, but I’ll be well busy this week.
– The reason being that I’m working on an interactive installation for a massive Hyper Island exhibition! It’s called Fluorescent Space Vibrationsand will be at Grev Turegatan on the 14th of October. I’m programming, vjing and building a singing Avatar Forest (check this video for sneak peak) and it’ll be so freaky. Here’s the event, so please come say hi and see the awesome stuff we create.
There are so many skilled people at Hyper Island and we’ve decided to teach each other. Today Erik gave us all a lecture on pattern making in illustrator combined with photoshop and it was awesome! I made this tropical Justin Timberlake print and I’m kind of considering dropping out of school to become a pattern maker now as this turned absolutely brilliant. Right?
A coffee table book made for a pitch for the PFA to fight homophobia within football. We decided that poster campaigns isn’t working and that we have to properly get the players involved. It’d be Beckham, Rooney and all the others, undressed and revealed, speaking up against homophobia. And with names that big together in one book, the press would be all over it and set the bar for future footballers.
“Courageous, proud, tough, united.
All words associated with professional footballers. All words that come to mind when thinking about the bravery involved in making the decision to come out.
The 92 players who appear in this book are showing their solidarity to the LGBT community, in the hope that their support can help everyone be open about their sexuality. With one professional footballer from each of the top four leagues, we hope to prove that football is an inclusive and open minded game.”
