Radar Mixtape: Linda Romanazzi

This week’s mixtape comes from DJ and blogger Linda Romanazzi. Recently back in Stockholm after nine years in Paris, Linda runs the member’s club Bernie’s together with Lill Lindqvist, with whom she also has a blog. An adventurer at heart, she’s also spends a lot of time travelling the world. Here she shares a mixtape with some of the songs she loves at the moment.

Tell us more about your mixtape.
– It is ten songs that I  really like and listen a lot to at the moment. If you would have asked me three weeks ago I would have made a completely different mixtape with different tracks. I change favorite tracks with the speed of light. A necessity when you work as a DJ. These are the tracks that I’m in love with right now.

Where do you find inspiration?
– From everywhere. Mostly on my trips. I get a lot of inspiration from the  DJ’s who plays in Ibiza when I go to clubs there, but I can also find inspiration in an elevator in Paris, at a restaurant in Spain, a shopping mall in Stockholm,  and on music blogs of course. I can immediately hear whether I find a song good, just within the first seconds.I  also take a lot of inspiration from my friends, I have a few friends with amazing taste in music, who inspires me a lot.

When do you think one should listen to your mixtape?
– Whenever you like. Before going out and in a good mood for example. Remember, always listen to music with a lot of bass. Computer speakers are just terrible and kills the real sound, as well as the “soul” of the track.

If your life was a movie, what would be the soundtrack?
– That’s a hard question to answer. I would probably change the soundtrack of my movie every week. But what pops into my mind right now is Peter Sarstedt’s Where do you go to my lovely. A classic song with fantastic lyrics, that I will always love.
