Namasenda: “Music is the only thing that truly makes me happy”

Up and coming artist Naomi Namasenda knew quite early on that she wanted to become a superstar, and with her newly released debut single she has taken her first steps towards reaching that goal. Radar had a chat with the promising newcomer about her music, future plans and why she often wears wigs!

How did you get into music in the first place?
–I think it was when I was around 6 years old or so and saw spice girls on TV for the first time. One glance and I was hooked. There and then I decided that I was a superstar. But it wasn’t until I was 13 that I put my thoughts into action by starting a punk band with my friends.

Why is music important to you?
–Because it is the only thing that makes me truly happy… and sad. It’s actually the only thing that makes me feel.

Can you tell us a bit about your debut ”here”?
–It is a super intense pop song with influences from the 90’s.

What have the reactions to your single been?
–People tell me that they like it, so they’ve been good I guess. Maybe they are lying? I don’t know. I love the song.

Where do you get your inspiration?
–From my relationships and people around me. I tend to get bored very easily, so I always strive to meet new people to get inspired by.

You often wear wigs. Why is that?
–Like I said, I get bored easily. And who wants to look the same way everyday?

What can we expect from you in the future?
–More music and fun live shows, if I don’t die from a skydiving accident or something like that.
