Hopelessly addicted to the Notes App on her phone, Michaela Hamilton is constantly writing things down. In her brand new Radar Magazine blog, she pairs her scribbles with more or less serious thoughts on life, pictures, and maybe a selfie or two.
Tell us more about who you are.
– I’m soon to be 22 years old (five days before effin’ Christmas Eve thank you very much..). I grew up in Stockholm and Australia, and work as a promotion manager and copywriter in the music industry. I like to decorate my home with pretty things, to put on clothes I feel fabulous in, and to write down little observations in my Notes App on my broken iPhone to which I’m hopelessly addicted.
Why did you decide to start blogging?
– I’ve been writing since forever. My grandmother gave me a notebook when I was twelve, and a couple of days later it was completely filled with scribbles. It just went on from there, I write down whatever about whatever, in the back of books or on my phone, and I felt I wanted to centralize it somewhere. I’m too Swedish to post too many things on my Instagram, so I’ll simply do it on my blog instead.
What blogs to you follow yourself?
– Not too many, but I like photographer Jamie Beck‘s blog, mainly because of her incredible cinemagraphs. Google it, they’re stunning! Oh, and the Tumblr whatshouldwecallme, it makes me cry of laughter.
What will we see in your blog?
– Well, the second the word “selfie” was named the word of the year by Oxford Dictionary it became socially acceptable, so there will be some of those, and some stolen pics from my good ol’ Tumblr. And my thoughts, both serious and not so serious. And shoes and clothes and… You know, I don’t really know. Let’s find out! I’m very excited!
