Maybe they took you to Iberia in your dreams. Perhaps they made your teenage heart leap into the lungs. Or maybe they’re just Alexander Palmestål. Fact or fiction? Myth or material? It’s Mythologen with new material.
We’re privileged to premiere their new track, “Praise”, below. Living up to its title, we think it will soon be gaining some with its sample-heavy loops layered over a Pop skeleton. Think Air Max ’97 if taken beyond the max; bouncy bass pushes this track well into the new Millenium with an ending that ascends where Iberia dissolved in the early summer ether.
My view right now:
This is from my studio in Gothenburg that I share with my very good friends Viktor and Kristina who both make wonderful music under the monikers of Team Rockit and Merely. Kristina just released a new single called “Libertine”— it´s really, really good.
Most memorable night out:
I´m sorry, but I can´t seem to remember any of my nights out.
Most recent camera photo from your phone:
Just a quick stop by my friends at Kafé Höga Nord, for a coffee before going to the studio and continuing work on my album coming later this year via Höga Nord Rekords. I also make most of the artwork and merch for Höga Nord, so it´s a nice little local thing we got going.
Most recent post in Notes:
I forget to write down important notes I need to remember.
In my head at the moment:
My friend John just stepped through the door, haven’t seen him in 5 years after he moved to Australia. Now he is here all like “Hello!” So that’s a pretty big surprise.
Song I’m obsessed with at the moment:
Max Richter – Autumn 3
