King Krule – 6 Feet Beneath the Moon
Hearing the eclectic soundscapes and deep, husky baritone voice of British musician King Krule, it’s hard to believe that he’s barely come to age. This weekend he celebrated his nineteenth birthday by releasing his highly anticipated debut album 6 Feet Beneath the Moon. His music might best be described as a mix of tender pop melodies, experimental jazz chords and low-key hiphop beats, wrapped together by his distinctive and inimitable voice. Listen to the album here.

The Weeknd and Drake – Live For
Two of the most acclaimed artists within hiphop and r’n’b, The Weeknd and Drake have collaborated on the single Live For, released earlier this week. The Weeknd’s and Drake’s previously released albums sent their music straight to Billboards top 100, and they are both set to release new, much-anticipated albums in September. Listen to Live For above.

Eames – The Architect and the Painter
Take your pleasure seriously is a famous saying from Charles and Ray Eames, two of the most important designers of the postwar era. Though they might be best remembered for their iconic chairs, the two designers had an immense influence on the development of everything from interiors and architecture to photography, films, and toys. The documentary Eames – The Architect and the Painter is the first film since their death to tell the story of these creative geniuses and their work. Watch it on SVT Play here.

Lady Gaga – Applause
The video for Lady Gaga’s newest single Applause is everything that you could have expected from the world’s most eccentric and exhibitionistic artist – a sparkling collage of magnificent costumes, visual references, and intricate choreography. Here you can see Lady Gaga’s face on the body of a swan, Lady Gaga emerge from a top hat, and Lady Gaga leading a troupe of dancers. Applause is the first take from Lady Gaga’s upcoming album Artpop. Watch it above.
