Radar Mix: Sandra Mosh

This week’s mix is signed  DJ, producer, and radio host Sandra Mosh. Since she first began DJ’ing in 2008, Sandra has become a household name in the Swedish dance music scene, dividing her time between the studio, Swedish National Radio, and DJ booths both in Sweden and overseas. Here she treats us to a soothing bathtub soundtrack, merging dub and techno with calming ambient and strokes of piano.

Tell us more about your mix.
– I wanted to make a pretty calm, soothing mix. Since I make mixes for Elektroniskt i P2 I collect a lot of ambient stuff and tracks that are not the typical house and techno tracks I play out in a club, so I wanted to put some of these together in a mix. Well, I slipped in a few techno tracks but it’s mixed with experimental tracks, some dub and you’re also gonna hear a lot of piano throughout the mix.

When do you think one should listen to it?
– I made this mix so you would take the opportunity to treat yourself to a nice long bath whilst listening to it.

What was the first album you bought and really loved?
– I have no idea, I have a really bad memory, but one album I remember listening to solely for a few weeks straight was The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. I fell in love with her voice, tried to recreate it but without luck, so I just ended up listening to the album a lot. In addition to that, I watched Sister Act 2 over and over.
